The Outdoor Classroom
XP Adventure transforms Colorado’s wilderness into a dynamic extension of the classroom, offering curriculum-aligned programs through hands-on discovery. The Tiered Progressions

Discovery Tier (Grades 3–5)

Key Skill: The S.T.O.P. Protocol (Sit, Think, Observe, Plan).

Featured Activity: Mapping the schoolyard using sensory observation and basic cardinal directions.
Navigator Tier (Grades 6–8)

Focus: Technical Competence.

Key Skill: Triangulation. Finding one's exact location by sighting distant Colorado peaks.

Featured Activity: The Vertical Edge—learning the belay chain and the physics of mechanical advantage.
Expeditionary Tier (Grades 9–12)

Focus: Autonomy & Mastery.

Key Skill: Risk Management. Drafting Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for remote trailheads.

Featured Activity: The Senior Capstone—a student-planned, 3-day autonomous trek where the instructor is merely a silent observer.
