Under the guidance of expert certified instructors, you'll master the fundamentals of rock climbing while scaling real Colorado rock formations in the stunning wilderness of Park and Teller County. From your first nervous moments at the base of the wall to triumphantly reaching the top of challenging routes, you'll discover strength and courage you didn't know you had. Learn essential safety systems, become certified in belaying, master rappelling techniques, and push your limits on progressively harder climbs. Whether you're gripping your first handhold or tackling advanced routes by afternoon, this day will ignite a passion for vertical adventure that lasts a lifetime!

Your Day of Vertical Adventure:

Morning (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM): Begin at our Woodland Park meeting point before heading to carefully selected climbing areas in Park or Teller County. Once on-site, you'll dive into equipment familiarization—learning how harnesses, helmets, and climbing shoes work to keep you safe. Master fundamental climbing techniques including proper foot placement, efficient hand holds, body positioning, and balance. Then it's time to climb! Start with beginner routes (5.5-5.7 grade) where you'll build confidence on real rock while your instructors coach you through every move and celebrate every achievement.

Midday (12:00 PM - 12:45 PM): Refuel with lunch while soaking in incredible mountain views and sharing stories of your morning climbs with your fellow adventurers.

Afternoon (12:45 PM - 5:30 PM): Now the real progression begins! Receive comprehensive belaying instruction and earn your belaying certification—learning how to be an amazing climbing partner and master the safety systems that make climbing possible. Apply your new skills on moderate routes (5.7-5.9), feeling your technique improve with every climb. Experience the thrill of rappelling as you learn controlled descent techniques. Push yourself on advanced climbing challenges (5.8-5.10), discovering just how capable you've become. Throughout, learn Leave No Trace principles to protect the climbing areas we love. End with final climbs and a celebration of how far you've come in one incredible day before returning to Woodland Park.
